Our next offering is Frantoio Franci Villa Magra 2020, an Italian EVOO made from a blend of 50% Frantoio, 35% Moraiolo, 15% Leccino olive varieties.

Judges’ Notes, New York International Olive Oil Competition:  “Aromas of green fruit, green leaves, green almond and notes of tomato leaf, very clean. Taste exhibits abundant fruitiness, green grass, some sweetness, bitterness, vigorous pungency and notes of green almond, tomato leaf, with exceptional harmony, a high complexity and a high persistence.”

Giorgio Franci is among the most talented and passionate olive oil producers; his understanding of olive oil, from the farming of trees to the milling of olives, is incredible.

One of Frantoio Franci’s most awarded oils from Tuscany, this extra virgin olive oil is intensely fruity with aromas of green olive with fresh and pungent grassy notes with hints of artichoke and elegant notes of roasted coffee. Its taste is powerfully fruity, fresh, grassy, pungent and complex, yet harmonious and well-structured with a fresh, rich finish of spicy grass. Use this oil fresh in soups, on boiled or raw vegetables, bruschetta, red meats, tomato salads, with plain rice or pasta, as well as well-matured cheeses.

The concepts of terrior and cru are part of great olive oil just as they are a part of fine wine, and in the case of Frantoio Franci these concepts come alive right in front of you.

Founded in 1958, Franci has become a cult producer of olive oil, with a following around the world. In 1995, Giorgio joined his father and uncle and has taken the estate to new heights.
