We like this Zinfandel for its classic briar fruits accented by high-toned notes of raspberry. Beneath this you'll find dried herbs dominated by sage and deep spice notes.

The Winery

Day is the Zinfandel project of Ehren Jordan, the noted winemaker behind such amazing labels as Turley, Neyers, and Failla.  He is known for his hands-on farming practices and hands-off winemaking approach. This guiding light leads his wines to emphasize the site, the variety and natural vintage variations that keep his wines evocative and interesing, vintage after vintage.

When Ehren purchased a St. Helena property back in 2004, he knew he wanted to plant grapes on the hillside.  After a few years of pondering, he decided the locale was ideal for one of his early loves in the vine world - Zinfandel. He established his winemaking chops during his tenure at these epic producers and Day is a return to those roots.
