The Wine

Mandrolisai is a small appellation in the middle of  Sardinia. Wines from this appellation must be a blend of three grapes, Monica, Cannonau and Bovale Sardo. Made from estate grown grapes using the free run juice from the making of their red wine, this Rosato sees minimal skin contact and is fermented with the native yeasts. A juicy rose, full of crunchy berry character.

The Winery

Located in the geographic center of Sardinia, in the Mandrolisai appellation has a long and rich history of winemaking. To honor and continue the wine-growing traditions of their ancestors, three young friends teamed up to create 'Garagisti', cultivating and rehbilitating vineyards with 80+ year-old alberello (head trained) vines of Cannonau, Monica and Bovale (aka “Muristeddu”) on the region's poor, white/pink granite soils.

Their wines vibrate with the primordial energy of this wild Island, but do so with incredible grace and agility.
