Honey Bee Goat Gouda
Honey Bee has become one of our most popular cheeses; it’s amazing what just a little honey can do to a goat’s milk cheese. Milk and honey, a combo of Biblical proportions!
While technically not a Gouda (only cow’s milk can be used in true Gouda cheeses), this Gouda-style cheese is full of flavor.
Goat’s milk is infused with a touch of honey; the cheese is then aged for five to six months before release. The resulting cheese is nutty (some folks compare the flavor to cashews with a skosh of caramel).
Honey Bee is a wonderful snacking cheese; try it on a cracker, or let it melt in your mouth. I love it in a grilled cheese sammy on rye bread. This is a wonderful, kid-friendly cheese, that adults like as well.
