Funaro 2023 Grillo "Pinzeri"

Grillo is one of the hundreds of grapes used to make Italian wine. While most American wine lovers may not know it as a white wine varietal, it is Sicily's most planted white grape! This may seem illogical until it comes to light that the majority of Grillo goes into the production of Marsala, the famous fortified wine from Western Sicily.  

It's only in the last few years that Grillo has been farmed for use as a varietal wine like this one. Taste this delicoius white wine with its distinctive, slightly-bitter finish and you'll join us in wondering "what the hell took so long?!"
