Picayune Cellars was founded by winemaker and French native Claire Ducrocq Weinkauf.

Her wines reflect the unmistakable mark of California but with a French accent.  What on earth does that mean?

Simply put, she takes California grapes and lets the terroir dictate the outcome of the wine.

Her wine is delicious and elegant, with flavors of strawberry and raspberry with hints of earthiness and violet.  Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and moderate tannins, it makes a wonderful companion with Mediterranean cuisine, carbonara, salmon and poultry. A staff favorite.
