The Wine

Carignan is a popular blending grape in the Rhone Valley, and it makes a delicious Rose. A light-bodied dry rose with aromas I'd like to concentrate and sell as cologne. 

What is it like? Aromas of tangerine zest and muddled fresh strawberries. Very refreshing on the palate, with flavors of tangerines and watermelon. This wine has a tart red fruit profile and a pleasantly bitter finish inspired by pomegranate or cranberry. 

The Winery

The small and dedicated crew behind these wines (husband-wife team of Drew Huffine and Emily Virgil, below) think of themselves as purists, sourcing fruit from small and responsibly farmed vineyards from Mendocino to Santa Ynez Valley to Lodi. They resonate with growers whose passions reflect their own approach and minimalist winemaking style.
