The Wine

Cviček Zajc is unique and famous Slovenian wine, made from specific red and white vine varieties which are grown in a specifically determined area in the Dolenjska region. Minimal intervention winemaking.

The wine is fresh and inviting, with red berry aromas, crisp acidity and a very light body that creates a fresh and inviting wine to be enjoyed slightly chilled.

The Winery

Zajc says their story is one of Joie de Vivre - the joy of life - a spirit the family brought to the winery back in 1858 when the first vineyard was planted. Today, Bozidar and Marko Zajc honor ancient winemaking traditions their region was known for in the Middle Ages. Fermented with no added yeasts and bottled without filtration, these wines truly represent the terroir of Dolenjska.
