Refund policy
Our Policy on Exchanges & Returns
Though we curate everything we sell, sometimes our products are not quite right for various reasons. When such mishaps occur, we do our best to make things right, within the limits of CA state law.
What Can Be Returned
- Non-perishable items like accessories within 14 days of purchase.
- Cheese products only if there’s a quality issue (e.g., spoilage, wrong item) reported within 48 hours, preferably with photos to accompany or presented in-store if local.
What Can’t Be Returned
Due to food safety and alcohol regulations, we cannot accept returns on:
- Unopened wine bottles (cannot be returned due to state laws protecting retailers from improper storage conditions).
- Opened wine bottles, unless the wine is flawed (not simply because the buyer did not enjoy the wine).
- Cut or opened cheese.
- Perishable items beyond their recommended consumption date.
- Sale items marked “Final Sale.”
How to Request a Return
If your purchase qualifies for a return under the conditions above, please contact us at management@farmstead.biz and include:
- Your first and last name and order number or date of purchase.
- The item(s) in question.
- A brief description of the issue.
- Photos if applicable (especially for damaged or spoiled items).
Refunds & Exchanges
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Exchanges may be offered for items of equal value or store credit.
For online orders, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item was incorrect, defective, or damaged in transit.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your online order is damaged in transit or contains incorrect items, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We insure all shipments and will issue replacement items (where available in our current stock), refunds, or store credit once a claim is successfully filed.
