The Wine
This is Adami’s most easygoing and fruit‑driven expression of the Glera grape behind most of Italy's Prosecco. This sparkling wine captures the easy charm of Treviso while still reflecting the quality that defines this historic producer.
The wine opens with a pale straw color and a lively, fine mousse that helps lift aromas of green apple, pear, crisp melon, and acacia blossom. Beneath it all is a subtle mineral edge that separates this wine from much of the Prosecco pack!
On the palate it shows the typically bright and refreshing character that defines this affordable class of bubbles, driven by brisk acidity that keeps the wine taut and mouthwatering.
Candied citrus, lemon zest, a touch of kiwi and young mango add lift, while the finish remains clean, crisp, and lightly saline. With 11 grams of residual sugar, Garbèl sits at the higher end of the "Brut" classification, tiptoeing into the "Extra Dry" category. There is just enough softness to round the edges without diminishing its dry, vibrant personality.
Pairings :Garbèl is a most versatile food wine, good from aperitivo through dinner. Ideal pairings include simple seafood dishes, shellfish, light vegetables, spring risotto with peas. Its acidity and gentle fruit make it a natural partner for our fresh and soft‑ripened cheeses - burrata, mozzarella, young goat cheese, brie, and camembert.
The Winery
Adami is one of a small group of Prosecco producers seeking to raise the region's wine from cheap "bulk" status to one of site-specific expressions, using some of the area's best vineyards. This focus on quality has been ingrained in the winery's core essence since its founding in 1920.
Adami emphasizes meticulous farming, careful fruit selection, and low-temperature fermentations in stainless steel tanks that preserve aromatics and freshness. The house style is defined by purity, elegance, and vibrant fruit.
Garbèl takes its name from an old local dialect word meaning “dry, crisp, pleasantly tart,” a fitting description of both the wine’s personality and the region’s sparkling tradition.
