Cave des Vignerons de Mancey 2020 Macon Blanc

From a vintage deemed "Excellent", this wine represent xceptional value for lovers of white Burgundy. 

Winemaker Notes: The wine  introduces itself in the glass with its pale golden color with a greenish tint, a hint at a wine that is  crisp and refreshing. The intense aromas of white flowers and dried fruit are typical of the grape variety: In the Mâcon area, we say that a good Mâcon wine “chardonnes” (shows a Chardonnay character). The wine is fresh and lively on entry to the palate, and then show s a sensation of softness and roundness.

Founded in 1929, Les Vignerons de Mancey, is set in the heart of lovely countryside, a few kilometres from Tournus and the Saône River. The winery's "terroir" begins with the open, rolling landscape of the Mâconnais hills, populated with vineyards, meadows and woods. 

A cooperative of just 12 growers, this wine is known for extended lees aging that is about twice the average, resultnig in a creamy mouth feel in a wine that over-delivers for the money. Anyone can pay lots of money and get a great wine - that takes no genius. But finding gems like this one? You'll be glad you tried a bottle, then come back for a case.
