The tool we recommend for removing any cork from a well-aged bottle of wine. Old bottles have old corks, and old corks tend to get fragile, meaning they often break when removed with a standard coiled corkscrew.
Instructions for Use: (For use on cork-finished wines only!). Remove the foil, if any. Slide the long fork of the opener between the cork and the bottle, about a quarter of the way down, then push in on the short piece until you can push it in part way, then wiggle the handle back and forth so the tines work their way down - when about 3/4 of the way down, twist the handle clockwise and gently pull out - alternate this action with continued insertion of the tines, as they tend to slip out a bit with each twist. Continue until the cork is removed!
