In this wine you have a unique, singular expression of Sauvignon Blanc that is well separated from the rest of the pack. Dagueneau was different from every other Sancerre/Loire Valley winemaker, and his wines follow him on that path. Known around the world as a white wine that can be aged, this wine is still in its relative youth.

This cuvée is the only Sancerre produced by the Dagueneau estate, is grown in the steep, well-drained chalky slopes of Les Monts Damnés in Chavignol. It showcases the grower's meticulous biodynamic farming and Dagueneau's low-intervention winemaking.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of tropical fruit - pineapple and lychee - layered with white florals and subtle hints of licorice and crushed herbs. On the palate the wine is rich and full-bodied yet somehow, still precise. Expect a silky texture with generous weight balanced by vibrant acidity and a chalky, saline minerality. Flavors keep evolving in the mouth, with exotic fruit, white peach, and citrus zest taking turns peaking from behind the curtain. Each sip rewards with great depth and impressive persistence in the long, unctuous finish that features appearances by wet stone and ripe, slightly bruised orchard fruit.

Pairing Suggestions: This wine needs no pairing other than a few hours of conversation with a good friend, but if you insist, I'd suggest pairing with goat cheeses, especially the local Crottin de Chavignol, or a soft-centered, spruce-wrapped cheese like the Harbison. Also works well with an herbed chèvre tart.
