The Wine

With this wine we present a very bold red wine from 100% Alicante Bouschet. This is a rare type of grape that wine geeks call 'teinturier' - varieties that has both deeply pigmented flesh as well as skin, both of which contribute to the wine's intensity. This grape thrives in Alentejo's warm climate, producing wines celebrated for their intense color, rich fruit flavors, and structured tannins.

Look for a complex bouquet featuring notes of cocoa and ripe plum that lead into intense flavors of ripe fruit balanced by notable tannins. The wine has a long, persistent finish featuring subtle spice notes.

The Winery

Divai Winery was established in 2014 as a boutique producer in the Alentejo region of southern Portugal. The name "Divai" translates to "wine" in Swahili and "divine" in Portuguese, reflecting the winery's commitment to creating exceptional wines that honor both tradition and innovation.
