As a rule of thumb, the strategy of a good Grower-Producer is to emphasize vintage variation, terroir and age worthiness over a uniform house style. If you love bubbles, you won't regret bringing these in at this one-time lower price!

• Lacourte-Godbillon N.V. "Terroirs d'Ecueil" 1er Cru Brut (compare at $67) - Pinot dominates this blend. Fruit and citrus aromas, very fine bubbles, and an enticing savory palate with a yeasty finish. With a dosage of just 5 grams per liter, it balances nicely between bone dry and approachable,
• Forest-Marié N.V. Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs (compare at $65) - I've loved this wine for decades! Great value here, in a champagne featuring the finesse of a 100% Chardonnay. Mineral-driven, with chalk, green apples and notes of almond-infused dough.
• Diebolt-Vallois N.V. "Tradition" Brut (compare at $64) - This producer just goes from hit to hit, riding the tumultuous waves of climate craziness that hits Champagne more and more often. A blend with Chardonnay singing lead, the wine features notes of white flowers, chalk and citrus. Delish!
