The wine leads with aromas red currants and strawberries, which introduce the fresh and lively notes of red fruit and flowers on the palate. A typical 12% ABV, with residual sugar of 12-13 g/l = on the high end of the "Brut" designation.
The Drusian vineyards are in the foothills of the Dolomites (northeastern Italy) at an elevation of more than 1,200 feet. The soils here are a blend of clay and limestone (a very good combo for wine growing!)
Serve at 41-45°F as an aperitif or at the table with fish dishes, smoked fish appetizers, sushi/sashimi, fried fish, and a good cheese and salumi platter.
