Funaro 2024 'Passo di Luna' Inzolia, Italian White Blend

The white wines of Sicily are notable for their ability to convey their sense of place. Which, in this case, is a place with very volcanic soils that lend these wines a delicious minerality and salinity. 

This organic wine is a blend of two Sicilian white grapes called Zibibbo & Inzolia, each of which is even more fun to drink than they are to say! Zibibbo lends enticing aromatics to the blend, and Inzolia bring a crisp freshness and hints of almonds.

Pairing Ideas

The wine's hint of lemon/citrus and it's clean, saline finish makes it a great partner for Clam pasta or spaghetti alle vongole, grilled shimp with lemon and herbs, or seared scallops sauteed in butter and herbs. Do yourself a favor, save a few glasses to pair with your favorite Bruschetta!

Cheese pairings include fresh goat cheeses and the Sicilian specialty "Ricotta Salata", but also venture outside Italy and try it with our Petit Basque or an aged Manchego.
