Avanelle Wine Co
Pierre Moncuit Hugues de Coulmet Blanc de Blancs
Pierre Moncuit Hugues de Coulmet Blanc de Blancs
This is a grower-producer Champagne house run by the mother-daughter team of Nicole (Mom) and Valerie (Daughter) Moncuit. We like their wines because they are designed to reflect terroir instead of a house style that is the same year-after-year.
Don't get us wrong, we love the wines from a few of the big houses as well. But there is no denying the allure of a Champagne that breathes new life into a wine lover's curiosity!
This is their entry-level Champagne, and despite its not-inexpensive price tag, it's well worth the splurge. Bright floral aromas that are easy to love. We describe this wine as a convincing advocate for the world of grower-producers, a wonderful introduction to the category for any lover of good bubbles!
