Prima Donna is a Dutch cheese that can best be described as the marriage between Gouda and Parmesan Reggiano! Aged for a year, it is a semi-hard cheese with a subtle crystalline texture throughout.
The flavor profile is fruity and nutty with unmistakable hints of Parmesan on the finish. This cheese is a great alternative to Parrano and is a Farmstead favorite!
Pairs well with Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux Reds and Zinfandel.
