The Wine

Regarding the wines of Portugal - what can I say? First and foremost, they offer really great value. But yes, they are damned near impossible to pronounce, and they use grapes few Americans have ever heard of. So a wine like this needs to be tasted and selected by our team, then the whole crew needs to be educated, because there's no way around it - this wine requires an enthusiastic staff member who wants to share their latest discovery. Fortunately, we have a good supply of such people!

A "Leve" wine from Portugal means it is a lower alcohol wine from around Lisboa. Think Vinho Verde in style, and at just 9.5% alcohol. As the name implies, "Nat Cool" is a natural white (Branco) wine that is, despite its nickname, quite cool in every way. It's clean-not-funky, it's from hipster winemakers and it's best when served cool, not cold. Pair with any lighter dish and then just sit back and let the wine sing.
