The Wine

Corvina is one of the primary grapes behind the Veneto's famed red blends - Amarone and Valpollicella, wines known for their heft and seriousness.  Wines that deserve sharing with a fellow wine lover and a bit of quiet contemplation.

Here, Corvina takes its solo role with a suave, svelte confidence.  The result is wine that is 100% Corvina, a modest 13% ABV, and aromas of sour cherries, fresh rose petals and hints of tobacco shop with a touch of pepper. The finish is spicey and bright and surprisingly long.

This wine delivers loads of pleasure for under $25!

Pairs well with risotto, gnocchi, pasta, red meats and roast poultry. 

The Winery

In the Veneto, Scaia means "flake of stone" and it is a tribute to the chalky limestone found in their vineyards. It is a relatively young winery, crafting wines that are easy to drink and affordable.
