Stepladder Creamery was founded by Michelle and Jack Rudolph when their paths crossed. Their passion for food, farming and each other led to their iconic company. It now spans 750 acres of what was once a cattle ranch whose origins date back to the 1870's. The name, Ragged Point, will be familiar to anyone who's been through the gateway to Big Sur, just north of the creamery.
This cheese is their interpretation of the French triple cream brie, produced here in a small format with the typical bloomy rind and a subtle peppery finish. The cheese itself is buttery with a fudgy texture.
