If you've ever noticed how dogs and their owners tend take on similar personalities, this is the wine equivalent of that morphogenesis because the wine is as big and boisterous as is the winery's owner, Theodora Lee.

When she enters the room a force of nature soon follows, sweeping all arond her into her enthusiasm, her likes and dislikes and her strong opinions. Now a San Francisco trial attorney, Theodora grew up on a farm and cattle ranch in Texas. So when she graduated from law school and settled in Northern California, she found respite in the rural nature of Mendocino's Anderson Valley/Yorkville Highlands, where she planted her namesake vineyard - Theopolis - where she is known as "Theo-patra", Queen of the Vines.
