The Wine
Natural sweet wine that takes its name from the grape variety from which it is made, although it is also known as raisin wine. This is an oxidatively aged wine, obtained by partial fermentation of raisened Pedro Ximénez grape musts, aged for 2-3 years using the traditional solera and criaderas system in American oak casks.
It is a sweet wine, with an alcohol content of 15% ABV. But we encourage you to use it as the Spaniards do - as a slightly chilled beverage of welcome - either in the home or at a restarant. It is well-paired with appetizers, cheeses, foie gras or charcuterie!
The Winery
Bodega Delgado Zuleta is the oldest winery in the Jerez region, with the oldest documents in the company archive proving it existed at least as far back as 1719. Today they produce a wide range of Spanish Sherry - Manzanilla, Barbian, Chamomile and other exotic-sounding versions of this Spanish tradition.
