Abbondanza Pecorino

The Wine

Pecorino is the dominant white grape of Abruzzo, on the Eastern side of Italy. It was nearly extinct, but is now thriving due to the global interest in more diverse varietals. This is a more fruit-forward wine than its sibling, Trebbiano, featuring notes of green apple, citrus and stone fruits. Bright, refreshing and food friend (think seafood, scallops, pasta in cream sauce, and Pecorino cheese)!

The Winery

Though this wine is made from Sicilian grapes, the winery 'Abbondanza-Sete' is located in Abruzzo. They brought their winemaking talent and flair for whimsical labels to this bottling. Abbondanza is one of several organic/biodynamic producers under the Sete family of small brands.
