The Wine
Egy Kis is a dry, bright, orchard‑fruit‑driven Furmint from Tokaj (the grape also used in Hungary's famous desert wines), showing green apple, pear skin, and a mineral edge that reflects the region’s volcanic soils. The 2024 vintage is crisp and lively, with a subtle smoky note and a clean, dry finish.
Pairings: Fresh cheeses, white fish, herb‑driven dishes, and lightly spiced poultry all synergize with the wine's mouth-watering crispness.
The Winery
Barta is a boutique Tokaj estate dedicated to reviving historic vineyards through organic farming and meticulous vine care. Their focus on volcanic terroir and traditional Hungarian varieties has earned them a reputation for purity and precision. Egy Kis is their accessible, youthful expression of Furmint.
