Bianchi 'Monte' Rosso Colline Novaresi 2023
Bianchi 'Monte' Rosso Colline Novaresi 2023
The Wine
Rosso is a thoughtful blend of 93% Nebbiolo and 7% Vespolina grown in the hills and plateau of Alta Langhe's 'Sizzano' region, where acidic alluvial soils of alpine and volcanic origin shape the wine’s distinct character.
Fermentation and aging take place in large cement tanks, a foundational element of the Bianchi cellar, with the wine resting on its fine lees for several months. Each vintage is evaluated for its balance of weight and grace, with aging tailored to its personality.
The result is a red wine that reflects the influence of the Alpine foothills, a synthesis of freshness and depth, with aromas of wild berries, forest floor, and subtle spice, supported by elegant tannins.

The Winery
Bianchi is a modern renaissance story with its roots going back into Piemontese long wine-making history.
The Bianchi family has cultivated vines in Sizzano since 1785 and bottled their first wine in 1876. They expanded into Gattinara’s Valferana and Ghemme’s Baraggiole regions under the visionary Giuseppe Bianchi.
Pioneers of organic farming in the region, they practiced a deep respect for nature and Nebbiolo’s elegance. After a period of decline, the estate was revitalized in 2022 through a partnership with the Pasquero Elia family of the Paitin brand, icons of historic Barbaresco, blending the family's centuries-old heritage with modern precision.
Today, is known for wines of balance and tension, using minimal intervention, cement and large oak casks for aging, and for their devotion to local grapes (Erbaluce and Nebbiolo) from Sizzano, Gattinara, and Ghemme, including the Monte series.
