The Wine

The palate is clean and medium‑bodied, driven by lively acidity and a light mineral edge that reflects its cool‑climate origins. Oak is evident but restrained, adding gentle texture without weighing the wine down. The finish is crisp, balanced, and built for broad, everyday versatility.
Pairings: Roast chicken, crab, scallops, creamy pastas, and dishes featuring lemon or herbs. For cheese, choose Mt Tam, Brie, or a young Alpine style.
The Winery
Bloodroot is a collaborative project from the team behind Banshee Wines, focused on crafting expressive, site‑driven Sonoma wines at accessible prices. Fruit for the Chardonnay comes from cool Sonoma Coast vineyards where fog, wind, and long growing seasons preserve acidity and aromatic detail. Winemaking is straightforward and restrained — careful pressing, cool fermentations, and judicious oak — resulting in a style defined by freshness, balance, and coastal clarity.
