The Wine
With the recent sale of Bouchard to Artemis Domaines, everything changed. Upon taking control, they announced plans to spin off Bouchard's most iconic Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines into a newly created luxury brand (Domaine des Cabottes), and to spin off many of Bouchard's remaining top Cote de Nuits labels to another Artemis-owned brand, Domaine d'Eugenie. This move created some buying opportunities for their large stock of old labels, and we're happy to bring this one to you. The going price in the marketplace is well below its peers, but the buying window will likely be quite short.

"Revisited from bottle upon release, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles offers up aromas of cherries, plums, cassis and smoked meats that are still quite youthfully fruit-driven at this early stage.
