WUST Wine
The Wine
100% Garnacha (Grenache), this is a medium-bodied wine with subtle aromatics that open with time. While the body argues for chilling, the shy aromatics argue against it - serve it around 60 - 65 degrees, IMHO. The wine features bright cherry notes typical of the grape, some very pleasant herbal notes, blood orange and minerality notes that grow as the wine opens. The surprisingly long finish features floral and anise.
Pairings: Light meats, poultry, risottos and grilled veggies.
The Winery
Trepadella, the vineyard name, translates as "little climber", and sits at 379 feet. It's here the organic magic takes place, executed by the two brothers who began producing wine from the family's vineyards. Their focus is on wines that express their grapes' purity and freshness.
