The Wine
A classic, pale Provençal‑style rosé with peach skin, strawberry leaf, white citrus, and a clean, saline finish.
The 2025 vintage in Provence was warm and dry, producing small berries with excellent concentration but still retaining the region’s hallmark freshness thanks to the cooling Mistral winds.
The Rose wines in this part of France are typically a blend, and this one is no exception. It's made up of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah from sandstone and red‑clay soils near the Esterel Massif.
The wine is quite pale, the result of the winemaker's stylistic intention and their choice of the direct‑press method (pressing the grapes immediately after harvest, with very little color extraction from the short skin contact). The result is this refreshing quaffer that pairs with a huge range of poolsides, picnics or pairings...
Pairings: Niçoise salad, grilled salmon, chicken, tuna, seafood or dozens of other lighter dishes. From our cheese department, reach for a tomme or a mild, creamy cow’s milk cheese.
The Winery
Château du Rouet is a historic family estate founded in 1840, located at the foot of the red‑rock Esterel mountains. Known for its striking terroir and traditional Provençal winemaking, the domaine produces elegant, mineral‑driven rosés that emphasize finesse over power. Their IGP Méditerranée bottlings offer a more approachable, fruit‑forward expression while still carrying the estate’s signature freshness.
