Discover the food and wine of Champagne at an unhurried, indulgent pace as part of our small‑group journey. We'll being with a welcome dinner in Pariss on the evening of the 10th near Hotel St Louis a Vincennes.
Our small group will depart the following morning in our 15--seat bus for the charming village of Épernay - our base of operations for the week.
The first day of our Champagne tour includes a private tasting at Moet Chandon and a walking tour of historic Hautvillers, home of Dom Pérignon. We'll then settle into the luxurious comfort of Hôtel la Villa Eugène in Épernay.
After breakfast each morning, we'll board our private bus and explore a different part of the Champagne region, splitting our time between private tastings with boutique winemakers, exploring small villages on foot and enjoying the hotel and its pool, or gym. With relaxed pacing, ample tastings, and unforgettable meals, this tour offers the perfect blend of luxury and leisure.
We'll spend time in Reims, enjoying a private tasting at Champagne Charles Heidsieck, the house that brought Champagne to our young nation in the early half of the 1800s. Afterwards we'll take time to explore the history of Reims and its famous cathedral, shops and cafes.
The remainder of our stay will include private tastings with some of our favorite grower-producers, including Lebeau-Batiste, Champagne Colin, Diebolt-Valois, Laurent Lequart, Lacourte-Godbillon and Leguillette-Romelot.
Our week concludes with our return to Hotel St Louis a Vincennes. Our final day includes a delightful cheese‑and‑wine pairing class at Paroles de Fromagers in the ile de la Cite, followed by a visit to Shakespeare & Co. before concluding our memorable week with a farewell dinner at a nearby restaurant.
