The Wine
Colomé “Auténtico” is a tribute to our pioneers who planted the vineyards and opened the winery in 1831. Since then, the vineyards at Bodega Colomé have been grown with sustainable farming practices to achieve the “authentic” expression of the terroir. Higher altitudes offer more sun, less UV protection and produce a thicker skinned grape that delivers a more robust taste with fresh acidity to support it. We believe the natural expression of the soil is captured in our wines.
This wine is intense in color and full of aromas like red cherries and blackberries, a well integrate herbal touch with elegant spice and mineral notes. The mouth is crisp and silky with ripe and round tannins.
Pairings: leaner red meats, sirloin/hangar steak with cracked black peppercorn crust, Bison burgers for a fun twist, pork tenderloin with sage and garlic rub seared then grilled on indirect heat, pasta with fennel sausage.
The Winery
Bodega Colomé is one of Argentina’s oldest wineries, rooted in the Calchaquí Valley of Salta, where vineyards sit among the highest in the world. The estate focuses on organic farming and relies on intense sunlight and cool mountain nights to shape wines with both aromatic lift and natural freshness. Torrontés is a house specialty: sourced from high‑elevation sites that preserve acidity and keep the variety’s floral character precise rather than overwhelming. The style is expressive, mountain‑driven, and unmistakably northern Argentine.
