In 1969, couple François and Maggy Doucet founded François Doucet Confiseur in the small village of Oraison, France. François’ family had a rich tradition in confectionery dating back to his great-grandfather who created la pâte de fruit d’Auvergne.
Located in the heart of Provence and surrounded by fruit orchards, the company benefits from abundant supplies of the best local fruits (apricot, pear, apple,peach, quince, fig, and more). 75% of the fruit used is from local Provençal farmers, and all is harvested at the peak of ripeness and rigorously selected.
François Doucet has always blended craftsmanship with innovation while honoring their family roots, a legacy now carried on by daughter Marie-Edith Derupty-Doucet and her three siblings.
