Istine Vermouth di Radda NV

Radda is a sub-region of Chianti, and IMHO, it is home to some of Chianti's best wines. So it's no surprise that Istine, run by the dynamic and industrious Angela Fronti. Known for her non-interventionist winemaking, she has been moving Istine aggressively forward since 2009. This Vermouth is one of her shining stars, produced in homeopathic quantities and only available once a year. We buy all we can afford!

Her Vermouth was one of Angela's new projects, inspired by her friend's curiosity with mixology, particularly when it came to quality vermouths.

Istine's rosé wine (a Rosato made from 100% Sangiovese) is the foundation for her Vermouth, produced in partnership with the historic Bordiga distillery in Piedmont. It enhances the typical Sangiovese Rosato with over 30 botanicals, including angelica, orange, gentle wormwood, wormwood, cardamom, coriander, cassia, dittamus, fennel, gentian, lavender, Kina, mint, quassio, rose, sage, rosemary, elder, satureja, linden, thyme and violet.

The result is a perfect combination between Piedmont's vermouth traditions and Istine's Chianti.

Serving Suggestions:
Enjoy it in its most pure form at room temperature or on ice with a slice of lemon or orange peel. Or use it to upgrade classic cocktails like the Americano or the Manhattan.
