Grape Expectations
The Wine
A classic, mineral-driven Chablis, offering a pale straw color with green reflections on the rim. Aromatics feature a typical flintiness, citrus zest, green apple, pear skin and subtle white‑flower notes in the leading role, supported by a persistent salinity from the region’s Kimmeridgian limestone.
The palate features lemon, orchard fruit and crushed stone with a slightly broader mid‑palate typical of the 2023 vintage. The finish is dry, fresh and persistent, emphasizing clarity, chalk and maritime tension.
Pairings: Fresh chèvre, soft‑ripened cheeses such as Brie or Mt Tam, or a young Comté or Gruyère highlight its chalky structure and delicate sheep’s‑milk cheeses echo its subtle nuttiness and clean, mineral finish.
The Winery
Lamblin et Fils is one of Chablis’ oldest family domaines, with origins in the late 17th century. The estate farms across Petit Chablis, Chablis and premier cru sites, working primarily with Chardonnay grown on fossil‑rich Kimmeridgian limestone that shapes the region’s hallmark minerality. Vinification is restrained, using mostly stainless steel or neutral vessels and minimal oak (mostly large, neutral vessels) to preserve the fruit and vineyard focus.
