The Wine
Deep pink color (a classic marker for Tavel Rose) with blood orange highlights in the glass. The nose is complex with aromas of strawberry jam, roses and crushed raspberries. The palate is fresh with a well-balanced body and a good acidity.
The Winery
Maison Lavau, founded in 1965 in the Rhone Valley, started growing strategically in 2000 when Frédéric and Benoît Lavau took over.
Situated between the renowned ‘Pont d’Avignon’ and ‘Pont du Gard’ bridges, the Tavel appellation is distinctive for exclusively producing rosé wines. Its vines are cultivated across three diverse terroirs, contributing to its unique complexity. The Tavel vines, averaging 30 years in age, yield approximately 35 hl/ha and thrive in sandy, marly-limestone, and pebbly soils. Night harvesting ensures the grapes remain cool during transportation.
