Naia Verdejo 2024

The Wine

85% Verdejo, 15% Sauvignon Blanc. Straw-yellow color wine. Very aromatic on the nose with notes of fresh stone fruit, citrus fruit, herbs (fennel fronds) and a surprising depth of character for a wine of such moderate price. It is a very refreshing wine that combines the aromas of the Verdejo and Sauvignon varieties. On the palate, it is light and fresh with a slight bitter aftertaste.

The Winery

Bodegas Naia is located in the epicenter of Verdejo land - the Castilla y Leon. Considered the Grand Cru of Verejo, Naia covers 100 of the region's acres with old, goblet-trained vines planted to pre-phylloxera vines. Soils here at the 2,600 ft-high vineyards are a mixture of limestone clay, and sand. In the few short years since its founding in 2002, Boegas Naia has become a benchmark for their Verdejo.
