The Prima Donna Gouda is aged for 16 months, the long process not only concentrates the flavor but also forms tiny, salty crystals which give this cheese a delightful crunchy texture. Produced in The Netherlands, it is made using an Italian style cheese culture which gives the Prima Donna a sweeter taste than typical Gouda and a slight parmesan flavor on the finish.
