Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits
The Wine
A crisp sparkling wine built on estate‑grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from California's Anderson Valley. Bright orchard fruit, citrus, and a subtle brioche note from extended aging on the lees and the reserve wine used even in this entry-level bottling. The low dosage makes the palate taut and elegant. The wine shows a very lively acidity, small, persistent bubbles, and a clean mineral finish that reflects the cool coastal climate of Anderson Valley. A very good food wine!
Pairings: Oysters, Dungeness crab, sushi, fried chicken, or anything salty and crisp. Cheese‑wise, reach for our Brillat‑Savarin, Mt Tam, or a young Manchego.
The Winery
Roederer Estate is the Anderson Valley outpost of Champagne Louis Roederer, established in the early 1980s to craft méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines from California’s cool‑climate vineyards.
The estate farms its own fruit, allowing full control over quality and ripeness, and relies heavily on reserve wines to maintain the house’s consistent multi‑vintage style. Long lees aging, restrained dosage, and meticulous blending give Roederer Estate wines their signature balance of freshness, finesse, and quiet complexity.
