Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits
The Wine
The wine opens with inviting aromas of honeysuckle, citrus, and orchard fruit. On the palate, it shows a silky, rounded texture balanced by elevated acidity, carrying flavors of pear supported by lemon zest and lychee.
A subtle almond note runs through the palate experience, while white flowers add a pretty complexity. On the finish look for mineral notes that adds some complex harmony to the wine. It’s a classic expression of Willamette Valley Pinot Gris—fruit‑forward, floral, and nicely balanced.
Pairings: A natural partner for shrimp, scallops, halibut, crab, and sushi. It also complements herb‑roasted chicken and a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. The wine’s lychee and pear notes make it especially friendly with Thai or Vietnamese dishes. For cheese pairings, reach for fresh goat cheeses, ricotta, or try a Gouda for a nice contrasting flavor.
The Winery
Founded in 2000 by Laurent and Danielle Montalieu, the winery is known for crafting expressive, terroir‑driven wines from the Willamette Valley. Their philosophy emphasizes purity, balance, and sustainable farming, and the 2023 Pinot Gris reflects that approach with its vibrant fruit, elegant texture, and focus on freshness.
