Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits
The Wine
A crisp and bright Vernaccia opening with notes of lemon zest, green apple, and white peach, with secondary floral notes and almonds on the trailing edge (a signature characteristic of the grape).
The palate is medium‑light in body, with a clear mineral line from the sandstone and ancient marine soils that make the white wines of San Gimignano so deliciously distinctive. Its finish is brisk and savory, with a gentle citrus‑almond snap.
Isola Bianca is crafted as Teruzzi’s most approachable expression of Vernaccia. It is ready to enjoy now, offering a fresh, vibrant wine that is true to the character of Tuscany’s oldest documented white wine.
Pairings: Seafood, vegetable dishes, light pastas, and anything with olive oil or fresh herbs. Cheese-wise, reach for our young pecorino, fresh cheeses, and simple antipasti.
The Winery
Teruzzi is one of the leading producers of Vernaccia di San Gimignano. Founded in 1974, they have been long recognized for elevating the quality and reputation of the region’s historic white grape - Vernaccia.
The estate focuses on clean, modern winemaking—temperature‑controlled fermentations, careful handling, and an emphasis on preserving aromatics and natural acidity.
Their vineyards sit on the rolling hills around San Gimignano, where a mix of sandstone, clay, and ancient marine deposits gives Vernaccia its distinctive mineral profile.
