The Wine

Tiki’s single‑vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is classic modern Aotearoa (the Maori name for New Zealand). The wine features piercing aromatics, crystalline fruit, and that unmistakable herbaceous note that is such a marker for Marlborough wines you can identify them blindfolded.

The 2025 vintage leans into this typical character of bright and lifted aromatics, showing lime zest, passionfruit, white nectarine, and a cool herbal thread that recalls crushed tomato leaf.

The vineyard sits on free‑draining alluvial soils, which lower crop vigor as it concentrates flavor. Experience the wine's long, mineral finish and then think of the soils that made it possible. The wine is brisk but not sharp with a refreshing, mouthwatering theme that makes it ideal for a wide range of dishes.

Pairings: Anything bright and green - think chèvre, feta, asparagus, citrus‑dressed salads, ceviche, oysters, and Thai dishes with lime and herbs. For cheese, lean toward tangy goat cheeses or fresh sheep’s milk styles that echo the wine’s snap.

The Winery

Tiki is a Māori‑owned, family‑run estate committed to sustainable farming and to expressing the character of individual vineyard sites across Marlborough and North Canterbury. Becaue of their focus on the land and multi-generational perspective, their approach to farming emphasizes biodiversity, careful canopy management, and minimal intervention in the cellar.

The name reflects both heritage and philosophy: wines that honor land, culture, and place. Their single‑vineyard bottlings are designed to show the unique influence of a site's terroir rather than power, and this Sauvignon Blanc is a textbook example of that focus.
