Red cherry, raspberry, and rose petal lead, joined by hints of cedar, sandalwood, and a light graphite edge. A subtle herbal lift and a touch of crushed limestone give the nose its precision and freshness.
On the palate, the wine offers a medium weight with vivid red fruit, chalky tannins, and a clean, mineral-inflected theme. Notes of tart cherry, currant, and an alluring, gentle spice note. Acidity is bright and well‑integrated, keeping the wine ready to partner with a wide variety of dishes.
In general, this is a classically built Barolo from la Morra - aromatic, lifted and elegant. Age for the mid-term or enjoy now and feel no regret!
The Winery
Voerzio Martini is a small, quality‑driven estate in la Morra. It was recently re-shaped by the latest generation who brought modern precision to the family's traditional Nebbiolo style.
The family farms several la Morra sites, focusing on clean fruit, attentive canopy management, and restrained yields (green harvesting to concentrate the vine's resources across fewer clusters), all of which preserve the wine's aromatic lift and elegant tannins.
Their house style is wines of polish that are rooted in place, offering accessible Barolo pleasures while retaining the essence that defines the commune’s best wines.
