Wildly Virgin
The Oil
'Doce' means sweet in Portuguese, and that descriptor perfectly represents this oil - the fruitiest, smoothest oil grown by the Wildly Virgin Olive Oil Company.
Harvested in November, 2025, the oil offers enticing aromas of pear, almond, banana and cinnamon, which lead into flavors that are smooth and buttery on the palate.
Made from the Galega olive, which is one of Portugal's oldest and rarest native varietals. The oil is quite versatile.
Parings: Drizzle over poached eggs, salads, grilled fish, beautiful fresh bread or drizzled over good ice cream then dusted with cocoa nibs.
This year's Doce comes from a beautiful farm in the Northern Alentejo region of Southern Portugal, where Bernardo Marchante and his family have been stewards of these old, low-yielding trees for four generations. As other farmers chase high-yielding olives, Bernardo knows Galega is a flavor worth protecting
