Top Reds

These are the reds our customers come back for. Top Reds pulls together the best sellers at both Farmstead shops, plus a few staff favorites we think deserve more attention.

California is well represented, with Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast and the Central Coast, a small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon and red blends from Frog’s Leap and Beckmen. From Europe, you’ll find Spanish Rioja Crianza and Mencía from Valdeorras, Douro and Portuguese reds, old-vine Carignan from southern France, German Trollinger and a sparkling Lambrusco. There are also a couple of canned reds for picnics and the park.

Every bottle is chosen by the team at Farmstead Cheeses & Wines, an independent cheese and wine shop at Alameda Marketplace and in Oakland’s Montclair Village.
