These are the whites our customers keep coming back for. Top Whites pulls together the best sellers at both Farmstead shops, plus a few staff favorites worth discovering.

The Loire Valley leads the way, with several Sancerres and crisp Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from around the region. We also love bright, coastal whites: Vermentino from Sardinia, Txakolina from Spain’s Basque coast and Grüner Veltliner from Austria. If you want to explore, try a Sicilian skin-contact white, an orange wine from Oregon or Burgundy Aligoté. Familiar favorites round it out, including New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and a liter of German Müller-Thurgau for a crowd.

Every bottle is chosen by the team at Farmstead Cheeses & Wines, an independent cheese and wine shop at Alameda Marketplace and in Oakland’s Montclair Village.
